Ben Castle

Ben joined Tommy’s in 2021 after 20 years in professional rugby both as a player and as a senior leader at NZ Rugby and the Hurricanes Rugby franchise.

Ben moved to Tommy’s to establish the commercial arm of the Tommy’s business – Tommy’s Commercial – starting as a one-person team and built the team to a five-person team and a strong name and presence across Wellington in every property sector. After a number of years in high-performance environments, Ben knows how critical it is to work collectively, how important the discipline of preparation is, and that, bottom-line, results matter.

In 2023, Ben has since moved into the Chief Executive Officer role at Tommy’s Real Estate and now leads the Residential, Commercial and Property Management teams.

Ben is charged with ensuring Tommy’s continues to evolve in an ever changing environment and the business units develop collectively to further enhance the strong reputation and successful results Tommys’ has had over 25+ years. Ben has been instrumental in a number of significant transactions to date, especially in the commercial sector and has been at the helm of the company when Tommy’s collected REINZ Winners Awards through 2023, 2024 and 2025 in multiple categories.

Ben is a proud Wellingtonian, with roots in Bay of Plenty and the Waikato, and proud to be part of team at Tommy’s – Wellington’s Market Leader.
