Selling and buying a home is personal. The current owner wrote this letter.

After 35 years of home ownership the time finally came to look at selling No.19 and reorganising my life. My physical years are catching up with those of this matured character house, we both needed work on our good bones. A snapshot below on work done to this grand beauty:

• The drains and stormwater had been replaced in recent years
• New roof on the house and enclosed carport plus concrete on garage roof resealed
• Interior walls stripped back and professionally replastered to create a workable surface and then painted in clean neutral colours – leaving options for you to choose yours
• Bathroom was replaced with new quality pieces and the kitchen overhauled including new vinyl plank flooring in the kitchen, bathroom, toilet
• Polished wooden floors and new carpet in two of the three bedrooms
• Spacious separate lounge with stunning large windows providing great light and sun
• Outside a full repaint, new timber steps up to the new sun-drenched front deck, sheltered from passers-by with a couple of trees that let you see out and the sun come in
• New back deck and landscaped grounds
• A large basement that could easily become a storage area or a work-from-home space (similar homes opposite have done this already! It was next on my list)
• Garage and covered carport offers parking off the road plus two in front
• School, shops, bus stops, parks and a golf course just a short walk away, Island Bay and Newtown close by.

It’s Berhampore at its best. I aim to pass the house on after 10 months of hard work and wanted to leave it better than I found it all those years back. I hope the new owners can simply move in and enjoy living here as I did just 35 years ago.
