By contributing over $21,000 and planting more than 2,300 trees, including 750 trees in the Makaracarpas project in 2023, Tommy’s not only offsets its carbon footprint but also safeguards New Zealand’s endangered biodiversity and promotes cleaner air quality.
Taking the lead in sustainability
In partnership with FUJIFILM Business Innovation, We enhances our commitment to sustainability through the “Go Beyond” Toner Recycling programme. This initiative has successfully diverted over 300kg of waste toner cartridges from landfills, contributing to the creation of TonerPave™, a low-carbon asphalt used for road surfacing, thus reducing our carbon footprint significantly.

Reducing single-use plastic bags
Prior to the ban on plastic shopping bags, Tommy’s gave away more than 35,000 heavy-duty, reusable, shopping bags in an effort to help reduce the use of non-reusable plastic bags in Wellington. You can regularly spot Wellingtonians carrying these around the city.
